What a gift card actually is
A gift card holds a fixed amount of money, such as $100, that can be spent only with one specific company. A $100 Apple Gift Card buys $100 of Apple products. A $100 Amazon Gift Card buys $100 of Amazon products. The money is locked to the brand.
There is usually a second lock: country. A US Apple Gift Card buys things in the US App Store. A UK Apple Gift Card buys things in the UK App Store. Amazon, Razer Gold, Steam, and Xbox work in similar ways. A gift card is not cash. It is prepaid spending in one brand and one country.
Why card details matter before resale
Apple, Amazon, Razer Gold, Steam, and Xbox cards each have their own card, region, and amount attributes. Those attributes need to match the calculator selection before a payout can proceed.
Someone may have received a card as a gift, bought it for a use that did not happen, or simply prefer a supported payout method. A valid, unused card can then be checked through the official flow.

What determines the price you get
- Brand. Select the exact card family in the calculator.
- Country or region. A US card can have a different value from a UK or EU card.
- Denomination. A $100 card can price differently from a $50 or $200 card.
- Exact selection. Use the current calculator result, not an old screenshot or static rate table.
What can go wrong before selling
- Region mismatch. A card for a different region does not match the selected calculator result.
- Already redeemed. If someone has already used the balance, the card has no resale value. Read the redeemed-check guide.
- Receipt or proof needs. Some higher-value or flagged cards need proof of purchase.
- Untrusted sources. Cards bought cheaply from unknown sources can be blocked later.
