What an Amazon Gift Card actually is

An Amazon Gift Card is closed-loop store credit issued by an Amazon regional entity. The card adds value to an Amazon Account and can be spent on goods sold through that specific country's Amazon storefront.

The card cannot be moved between Amazon accounts. Once redeemed, the balance lives in the Amazon Account that redeemed it. Sellers in our markets most often ask about the Amazon US variant, issued for use on amazon.com.

The already redeemed problem
